Project Joy and Hope Gala raises funds for children in need
Project Joy and Hope held its annual Gala at the Hyatt Regency Grand Ballroom in Houston Oct. 30. The tables were adorned with magnificent floral arrangements by Pasadena Flowers Co.
Wine and appetizers were served as guests arrived early to visit and bid on a large assortment of silent auction items which included hand made quilts, sports memorabilia and beautiful jewelry. A roasted chicken dinner was served with all the trimmings and a cache of tiny desserts was well received by the guests.
The live auction was conducted by Ron Morrison. The bids were high and Project Joy and Hope’s coffer was filled.
Live auction items included a gold-toned fiddle, a diamond tennis bracelet and two round trip airline tickets to Denver and a stay at Steamboat Springs.
Entertainment was provided by the Grateful Geezer Band. Special guest was Brittany Lynn Booker, Miss Texas USA 2012.
Project Joy and Hope Gala benefits seriously ill children and their families that come from cities throughout the U.S. and around the world for treatment at the Texas Medical Center.
