TAMPA — The younger brother of Dontae Morris, along with two other men, has been arrested, accused of punching a man in the face and stealing his $5,000 cross pendant.
Police say Dwayne Callaway, 22, and Keondre Rhanes, 19, attacked Felicione Beard at about 5 p.m. Monday. They broke the pendant off Beard's necklace and fled in a car driven by Rodney Speights, 20, police say.
Witnesses described the vehicle to police, and investigators found it at 43rd Street and Henry Avenue with the three men inside. Police say the attack was captured by a surveillance camera.
The car was seized and inside, police say, they found two loaded handguns. One was stolen in an auto burglary earlier this year.
The three men are part of the "43rd Street Gang," according to police.
The three were each charged with robbery by sudden snatching and grand theft. Callaway had an existing warrant and also was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence battery.
